CPCA welcomes Brad Chinery, P.E. VP of Technical Services for the National Precast Concrete Association to our fall conference in Newport Beach. Brad will cover two key topics shaping the future of precast manufacturing:

  • Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs): With demand for EPDs on the rise, a new Product Category Rule (PCR) is in development that could significantly impact how precast EPDs are created. We’ll provide updates from the committee process, highlight relevant legislation across the country, and share resources to help manufacturers begin developing plant-specific EPDs.

  • Build America, Buy America (BABA): A provision of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, BABA requires domestically sourced iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials for federally funded infrastructure projects. We’ll discuss what this means for precast manufacturers and how to prepare for implementation.
